Lorne Chrystal

President and General Manager

Lorne balances his work life with his wife and family of two children. Inspired by a need for a dedicated
local supplier of Thermal Spray consumables and equipment in 2011, Lorne and his partner wife started
Indurate Alloys Ltd. With a background in the welding trade and business management as well as 28
years in Thermal Spray, Plasma Transferred Arc and other coating related industry applications, Lorne is
well suited to assist coating applicators with their inquiries for Thermal Spray and Plasma Transferred
Arc products.

Dino Russo

Business Development / Coating Solutions Manager

Dino has been representing Indurate Alloys since 2018 and has been serving the Oil and Gas sector since
1993. With his 28 years in this industry, he has gained much experience in coatings and the coating
industry in general. Dino’s knowledge and experiences allow him to provide clients with in-depth
perspectives related to business operations, coating selection and the coating industry overall. These
aspects of his knowledge allow for succinct information transfer to our customer base. Providing clients
with this level of support allows Indurate Alloys to better understand client needs. In understanding, we
can provide our customers with product information and solutions for their coating application needs.

Melanie Brule

Customer Service, Purchasing & Inventory Control

Melanie joined the Indurate team in 2017. Her work experience is primarily based in the Oil and Gas industry, in the role of inside sales. At Indurate, she manages multiple responsibilities including procurement, literature design, shipping/receiving, and even gets her hands dirty, (on occasion), by blending or packaging product. She values work-life balance, (a shared team value), also enjoying activities such as backpacking, biking, snowboarding, and artistic endeavours.

Alireza Vahedi Nemani, PhD

Technical Sales Engineer

With a solid background (holding a PhD) in Materials Engineering, Welding Metallurgy, and Additive Manufacturing, Alireza’s mission at Indurate Alloys Ltd. is to facilitate sales and provide technical support to our valued customers, including industrial sectors in Eastern Canada.

Alireza completed his bachelor’s degree in Materials Science-Industrial Metallurgy in 2012, followed by a master’s degree in Welding Metallurgy Engineering from the University of Tehran, which is the most reputable university in Iran. Immediately after graduation from his master’s program, he joined an international welding inspection company called Farayad Control in Tehran. After four years of working in the industry in different roles, including Welding Inspector, Welding Supervisor, and Quality Control Manager, in 2018 he joined the Mechanical Engineering Department at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia as a PhD Candidate working on Metal Additive Manufacturing. He completed his advanced degree there.

In 2022, Alireza joined Indurate Alloys Ltd. as a Technical Sales Engineer aiming to expand the company’s activities in Eastern Canada with a focus on our new products, including Metal Additive Manufacturing Equipment and Ultrasonic Metal Atomizers.

In his personal life, he adores his beautiful wife Mahya, who has been supporting him emotionally and scientifically with unwavering patience during his challenging journey. Alireza believes that without his wife’s contribution, his accomplishments would have been vastly more difficult.
